Adaptive Classes at First Tee - Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky

For participants with special needs, First Tee - Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky offers Adaptive Classes through partner organizations that build confidence, social skills, and a love for the game in an uplifting environment.

About Adaptive Classes

In 2019, our chapter partnered with Els for Autism to offer golf and life skills programming to organizations in our community that serve those with special and adaptive needs. Since then, we have worked with organizations like the Special Olympics of Hamilton County, Bobbie B. Fairfax School, the Heidt Center for Excellence, and Autism Connections to deliver customized programs that introduce golf in a fun, safe, and positive environment.

Program Details & Schedule

Classes are led by Els for Autism-trained coaches and supported by passionate volunteers from First Tee who specialize in working with kids with adaptive needs. The program will introduce golf using activities that spark curiosity and excitement, all integrating First Tee’s core lessons.

Adaptive class schedules vary by organization. Below is our tentative schedule by partner in 2024.
