About Adaptive Classes
In 2019, our chapter partnered with Ernie Els #GameOn Autism Golf to offer golf and life skills programming to organizations in our community that serve those with special and adaptive needs. Since then, we have worked with organizations like the The Bridge Adaptive Sports & Recreation, Bobbie B. Fairfax School, the Heidt Center for Excellence, and Autism Connections to deliver customized programs that introduce golf in a fun, safe, and positive environment.
The Adaptive Golf Series is designed for participants on the Autism Spectrum looking to develop their golf skills in a fun, supportive, and collaborative environment. Each week, participants will build their confidence by learning a Life Skill and Golf Skill with the help of First Tee trained coaches. The program concludes with an on-course experience, giving participants the opportunity to put their skills to the test.
